Self Defence Workshops for women and girls

The Self-defence course is a 3 level programme, developed by 6th degree Taekwon-do black belt Alison Hadlow and run by the This Girl Kicks team of female 3rd to 6th degree Taekwon-do black belts. It is for females, run by females, giving it particular insight into the specific needs of its participants. Level 1 is divided into 5 modules that cover how to avoid a situation through awareness techniques, resolving and managing situations that may arise and simple self-defence moves. There will be the opportunity for discussion and reflection at the end of the course with refreshments. The course is aimed at people who have never participated in a self-defence course before and those who want to refresh their knowledge. All participants will receive a certificate on completion of the course.

Self Defence Courses on Zoom

This is an introduction to self-defence run on behalf of This Girl Kicks by mother and daughter team and Taekwon-do black belts: Alison Hadlow, 6th degree and Mollie Longhurst, 3rd degree. Between them they have many years experience of teaching self-defence and understand how courses aimed specifically at females are so important. Being women, they have a particular insight into the specific needs of their female audience. The course covers awareness and simple, but extremely effective self-defence moves.
